These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Canaride online platform ("Canaride", "we", "our"). By accessing or using the platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the platform.
Canaride is operated by Rev-Tech Inc., registered in Quebec, Canada. Canaride provides an online platform that connects drivers offering available seats with passengers seeking transportation, strictly in a non-commercial, cost-sharing context — not profit-driven.
Canaride is not a party to any agreement between users, has no control over user conduct, and does not arrange or operate transportation services. Canaride is not an insurer, agent, or broker and does not assume responsibility for the conduct of users.
If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use the platform.
Canaride provides an online platform that enables drivers and passengers to connect and arrange shared rides. It does not guarantee the availability, quality, safety, or legality of any ride or user.

Contact details and trip-specific information are only shared after a booking is confirmed. Users are solely responsible for the accuracy of the information they provide and for the arrangements they make with other users.
Any arrangement, including payment, is made directly between users. Canaride does not assume responsibility for the conduct of users and is not liable for any damages, losses, or disputes arising from interactions between users.
You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement to use the platform.
To access certain features, you are required to create an account. You agree to provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information and to keep it current. You must not share your account, create multiple accounts without permission, or misrepresent your identity.
Users of the platform act independently and are not employees, agents, or representatives of Canaride.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify Canaride immediately of any unauthorized use or security breach. Canaride is not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorized access due to your failure to protect your credentials.
You agree to use the platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree to:
You agree not to assist or encourage any third party in violating these Terms. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users, whether online or offline, and for determining whether a ride or arrangement is suitable.
Reporting Misconduct: If you believe a user has acted inappropriately, you are encouraged to report it to Canaride. In cases involving illegal or dangerous behavior, you should contact the appropriate authorities. Reporting misconduct does not obligate Canaride to take any specific action.
Good Faith: Users are expected to act in good faith and cooperate with each other to ensure that trips proceed smoothly.

Canaride may request verification of a driver's license and may suspend accounts that do not meet these requirements.
Insurance: Drivers are responsible for maintaining valid vehicle insurance as required by applicable laws. Canaride does not provide insurance coverage and is not responsible for any damages, losses, or claims arising from trips arranged through the platform. Users acknowledge that coverage may vary and are responsible for understanding their own policies.
Passengers agree to:
Bookings: Bookings are initiated by passengers and may require driver approval, depending on trip settings. A booking is confirmed once accepted by the driver or automatically approved through the platform. Once confirmed, both users are responsible for honoring the agreed arrangement, subject to applicable cancellation policies.
Pricing: Drivers are solely responsible for setting the price of their trips. Canaride does not set, control, or guarantee pricing and only provides tools to facilitate payments between users.
Fees: The platform charges a service fee on bookings (the "Booking Fee"), which is added to the trip price and paid by the passenger at the time of booking. Any fees charged by Canaride are non-refundable unless otherwise stated. Canaride reserves the right to modify its fees at any time. Any applicable fees will be clearly displayed before confirmation.
Payments: All payments on the platform are processed in Canadian dollars (CAD) through third-party providers (such as Stripe). By using the platform, you agree to the terms of these providers. Canaride does not store or process payment card information directly. Payments made outside the platform are not managed or protected by Canaride — users are solely responsible for such transactions.
Fraud & Verification: Canaride may request additional information or identity verification to maintain platform integrity, and may suspend accounts, delay services, or take appropriate action where fraud, misuse, or suspicious activity is suspected.
Passenger cancellations: Passenger cancellations are subject to a tiered refund policy based on how far in advance the cancellation is made. The current refund tiers are displayed at checkout, on the booking page, and in our FAQ. Canaride may adjust these tiers from time to time; the tiers in effect at the time of booking apply.
Platform fees are non-refundable in the event of a passenger cancellation or no-show.
Driver cancellations: If a driver cancels a confirmed trip, the passenger will be fully refunded for any amount paid through the platform, including applicable platform fees.
Cash transactions: For arrangements made outside the platform, Canaride does not process or guarantee refunds. Drivers are expected to return any agreed payments directly to passengers.
No-shows: A no-show occurs when a user fails to appear at the agreed time and location without prior cancellation. No-shows are generally treated as late cancellations and are not eligible for refunds.
Repeated cancellations, no-shows, or unreliable behavior may result in account suspension or termination at Canaride's discretion. Canaride reserves the right to issue refunds, adjust transactions, or take corrective action outside of standard policies to address errors, fraud, or exceptional situations.
Drivers may receive payouts through supported third-party payment providers. Drivers are responsible for providing accurate payout information — Canaride is not responsible for payments sent to incorrect or outdated account details. A valid payout method must be configured in the driver's account.
Payments may be subject to a review or clearing period before becoming eligible for payout. Processing times may vary depending on the payment provider and financial institutions involved. Canaride does not guarantee specific payout timelines.
Canaride may require additional verification before processing payouts or in response to suspected fraud or unusual activity. If a driver fails to fulfill their obligations, Canaride may, at its discretion, issue refunds to passengers, withhold or reverse payouts, suspend accounts, or take other appropriate action.
Canaride may verify certain user information, including email address, phone number, and where applicable, driver's license details. Verification confirms only that the provided information was submitted and appeared valid at the time — it does not guarantee a user's identity, reliability, driving ability, or ongoing legal status.
Canaride does not conduct background checks and makes no guarantees regarding the safety, quality, or legality of any trip or interaction between users. By using the platform, you acknowledge that you assume all risks associated with interactions and travel arrangements made with other users.
Users may raise disputes regarding bookings, cancellations, or payments within a reasonable period following the scheduled trip. Requests made after a significant delay may not be eligible for review.
Canaride reserves the right to review disputes and determine appropriate outcomes, including issuing refunds, adjusting payouts, or taking other corrective action. Canaride may delay or withhold payouts while a dispute is under review.
Users are solely responsible for any content they submit or share on the platform, including messages, trip details, and personal information. Canaride does not control or verify user content and does not guarantee its accuracy or reliability.
Canaride reserves the right, but not the obligation, to remove or restrict any content that violates these Terms or is otherwise deemed inappropriate. Canaride may access, preserve, or disclose user information if required by law or reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, respond to claims, or protect the rights, property, or safety of users or the public.
By submitting any ideas, suggestions, or feedback to Canaride, you agree that such contributions are non-confidential and may be used by Canaride for any purpose, without compensation or obligation.
The platform, including its design, content, and underlying software, is the property of Canaride and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. The Canaride name, logo, and related branding may not be used without prior written permission. You agree not to copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the platform without prior written permission.
The platform relies on third-party services (such as payment providers and mapping services) to operate. These services are subject to their own terms and conditions. Canaride is not responsible for their availability, accuracy, or performance, and is not liable for issues arising from such services.
The platform may contain links to external websites. Canaride has no control over these sites and is not responsible for their content or practices. Any use of third-party websites is at your own risk.
The platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Canaride makes no guarantees regarding availability, reliability, accuracy, or performance, and does not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Canaride shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising out of or related to the use of the platform, including personal injury, property damage, loss of data, or loss of profits. Canaride's total liability, if any, shall be limited to the amount of fees paid by the user to Canaride in connection with the relevant transaction.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above may not apply to you.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Canaride, its affiliates, and its representatives from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of: your use of the platform; your interactions with other users; your violation of these Terms; or any content you submit or share through the platform.
Canaride reserves the right to suspend or terminate a user's account at any time, with or without notice, for any reason — including violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, harassment, misuse, or behavior harmful to other users or the platform. Canaride may also suspend access while investigating suspected violations.
Users whose accounts are suspended or terminated may lose access to the platform and its features without entitlement to compensation or refund.
Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Canaride regarding use of the platform and replace any prior agreements.
Governing Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of the province of Quebec and the applicable laws of Canada. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Quebec.
Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force.
No Waiver: Failure by Canaride to enforce any right or provision does not constitute a waiver of that right.
Non-Transferability: Your account is personal and may not be transferred to another person.
Time Limit for Claims: Any claim arising from use of the platform must be brought within one (1) year after the event giving rise to the claim.
No Third-Party Beneficiaries: These Terms apply only between you and Canaride. No third party has any rights under these Terms.
Legal Compliance: Canaride may cooperate with law enforcement or regulatory authorities and may disclose information where required by law or where necessary to address illegal activity, fraud, or safety concerns.
Headings: Section headings are for convenience only and have no legal effect.
Canaride reserves the right to modify or update these Terms at any time. Changes are effective upon posting on the platform unless otherwise stated. Any new features or services introduced will also be subject to these Terms. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Where appropriate, we may notify users of significant changes.
Canaride reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the platform, in whole or in part, at any time, without liability.
